It might seem odd for someone who has styled the likes of Kylie Minogue and who once asked Nicole Kidman to pose in a swimming pool fully clothed (which Nicole duly did), but Kelly Hume didn’t even know styling was a real job until, at the age of 20, when she found herself as an intern with the world’s premier fashion title, Vogue. Kelly’s natural flair and passion for fashion propelled her on to other prestigious journals, from Harpers Bazaar in London to the pages of InStyle, Sunday Style, GQ and Stellar in Sydney, where she’s currently Style Director. Her CV might read like an editor from Devil Wears Prada, but Kelly is anything but. She’s known for her professionalism, humour under pressure, great energy on set and an ability to work as a team with both talent and photographers. She has a unique ability to see beyond the clothes and work with the photographer to capture a moment that has spirit, emotion and that special, indefinable something. The results of Kelly’s work are often breathtaking and always memorable.
